Absolutely love the unorthodox finale where Helen Fields dies the unthinkable. Absolutely awesome

I enjoy Field's (audio)books. The male narrator is wonderful. The female, however, is unconvincing. Too emphatic, unsubtle, more like a children's story teller, the bad guy a monster, the American with a very fake accent.

Wow what a gripping storyline! I could imagine everything, so well written and narrated.
Short story was a bonus as I realised how much I was missing Ava & Callanach *sigh*
