This is an ownvoices horror-literary fiction novel by Native American author. I found the first half of the book to be confusing, the story jumped from scene to scene and it lost me there. Perhaps it was due to me listening via audio and not vibing with the narrator. However the last twenty percent were high tension and I enjoyed myself listening to it. It was truly spooky and also thought-provoking.
