- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The subject matter of this book interested me straight away. Unfortunately, I found the beginning a bit confusing (switching time periods and characters) and a bit slow. Luckily, around the half way mark things became clearer and the tension built. Overall, I think the story could have been stronger and more interesting if some of the side stories or characters had been left out or less developed. I only found out later that this was the second book in the "series," but each book can be read on their own without issue.
