- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Something a bit light and fluffy. It's nice to read this kind of stuff from a male perspective and Gayle's mid-thirties modern man comes across as a really authentic voice. Our main character is away on a boys holiday following the break up of his ten year relationship. Plenty of laughs, and a few not so unexpected twists and turns move this along at a brisk pace. Definitely one to take to the beach.

Even though this isn't my favourite book of his (that would be His 'n' Hers), it was a great read, prooved by the time I took to read it, only 2 days of a sunny and beach weekend.He really has a capacity to transform a "bloke-lit" :op book in a wonderful read, he makes us smile, he involves us in the characters lives, he brings a tear to our eyes.Charlie & friends adventures were funny and heart warming.More books by Mr.Gayle, please! :)

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5An enjoyable, easy read. I read it whilst on holiday in Crete, and it inspired me to head out to the ancient tree in Krassi he mentions in the book which really made my holiday!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I love mike gayle :) i have read every one of his books and loved each one...BUT this book does drag quit a bit..it starts to get quite good once your near the last few chapters,its a very slow read, sorry mike, but this isnt your best work!
