About this audiobook
This is a 150-year detective story with a cast of unrecognized heroes who may, finally, become known for their work on the true causes of heart disease. Exploring the truth about cholesterol-the apparently tried, and convicted, cause of millions of deaths from heart disease-with billions spent each year on lowering cholesterol with diet and drugs.
Is it possible that our villain was simply left holding the gun whilst the true culprits ran and hid? Have they escaped our clutches?
Dr. Kendrick also introduces us to a range of other lesser known characters in this tale of selective reporting, data manipulation, and intrigue. The true story of heart disease is out there, and the evidence has been brought together here-a scientific mystery for our time that is ready to unfold.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Omg I think I have a new favorite narrator. This guy is awesome. But seriously this book is way more entertaining than the subject matter warrants. Go read it. Better yet listen to it. Today
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A fun and great read. One of the few books that looks at the true reason for heart disease. Unfortunately, the medical system is following the wrong path regarding heart disease and many other ailments. Dr. Kendrick helps us to understand the truth based on actual data, not opinion. Much of the information provided will shock many and will also make some people very upset. However, as they say, "Look at the science." If you look at the actual science... science that has not been designed to give the desired answers... you will find the truth. A great example he gives in the book is a study performed in the 1970s that was not published until 2021 because it didn't fit the narrative. I wish people would just be honest and just tell the truth. Unfortunately, due to the money-making machine of big pharma, books like this will be trashed, and people will not know the truth.
I highly recommended that you read/listen to this book. It's an eye-opener. On top of that, the book was fun to read. There is much medical jargon, but Dr. Kendrick walks you through it. The best part is that Dr. Kenrick makes the book fun to read with his Scottish humor.
I liked the book so much that I purchased a copy for my bookshelf for future reference.2 people found this helpful
