Title: To Win a PrinceAuthor: Toni ShilohPublisher: Bethany House PublishersReviewed By: Arlena DeanRating: FiveReview:"To Win a Prince" by Toni Shiloh" Toni ShilohMy Assessment:"To Win a Prince" was an incredible story of faith and redemption read that featured Iris Blakely and Ekon. Diallo. The story had some interesting characters that kept your attention, turning the pages to see what was coming next. It was hard seeing how Ekon lost his title as prince and had to do community service for his transgressions; however, it all came out well for him in the end in finding out about God making him a better man. Also, finding someone else who was very important. Be prepared for a story with some twists and turns you may not see until the end. To get this well-written story and how this author brings it all out...pick up the read and get a 'sweet romance, humor, religion, and realism.'Thank you, Bethany House and NetGalley, for the complimentary e-book.

A prince, a fashion designer, and a beautiful island setting. Aren't these what fairy tales are made of? But wait, there's so much more in this wonderful contemporary romance from author Toni Shiloh! There's also an inspiring and thought-provoking message in To Win a Prince, but it never feels 'preachy' or overbearing. I loved that Shiloh pays homage to the Prodigal Son parable, and reminds us of the power of faith, redemption, and forgiveness. Former Prince Ekon learns that there's so much more than living a life of privilege and he's also given a glimpse of the true meaning of sacrifice and devotion. Iris is a compassionate young woman who sees beyond Ekon's 'royal snobbery' and offers him a chance to prove himself! It certainly helps that there's a special chemistry between them, but can this override all of their differences? This is the second royal romance that Shiloh has set on the fictional African island, Oloro Ilé, and I loved catching up with Queen Brielle and others from In Search of a Prince. To Win a Prince is a delightful book that you don't want to miss!I received a copy of this book from the author and Bethany House. There was absolutely no obligation for a positive review.

First time I have read one of Toni's books. Won't be the last. Adventure, career, loss of royal title, romance, hardships end in success. Ekon a prince loses his title as punishment for a crime. Queen shows favor and a second chance. He has to work as a Business Consultant for Iris Blakely just starting a business in fashion. Inspiration and encouragement given Ekon by Iris as his friend. Will friendship lead to more? Elin stripped of all his worldly goods by his Dad. But Ekon learns valuable lessons as he struggles through. Iris best friend becomes Queen when her grandfather dies. Iris and her friendship stays strong. Surprises pop up just as you think things cannot get any worse. I recommend you read this book.

"Practice patience. Stay in the moment. Don't jump ahead in life and miss the now."I love books about royals and I love books with a good redemption story....and this newest by Toni Shiloh has both! On a beautiful tropical island country off the coast of Western Africa, a bright and bubbly American fashion designer meets a spoiled, selfish former Etikun prince with nothing left to his name...and they butt heads while working together to start a fashion house and learn about grace, mercy, forgiveness, and unconditional love. I loved Iris' completely idealistic, romantic first person voice. She was over the top, yes, but so full of life and passion and empathy. Ekon's honest and raw first person voice started out arrogant, self-centered, and unyielding but slowly morphed to reveal his true self - that sweet, endearing, vulnerable, noble core which made him a prince through and through. The faith thread was strong and Ekon's redemption is one to be remembered. Catching up with Bri and Mori was also fun.Iris and Ekon's story will make you weep tears of heartbreak and shout for joy at God's faithfulness and love. I received the book from the publisher via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

Toni Shiloh is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint. This book is a beautiful African royalty romance with themes of forgiveness and second chances (with a wonderful HEA I might add.) You will not be disappointed!
And if you want to bring the words of Toni Shiloh to life, I highly recommend listening to the audio book as well.

Another delightful modern-day fairy tale from Toni Shiloh!Fashion designer Iris Blakely wants to help the people of Oloro Ilé—only to achieve her dream, she must work with Ekon Diallo. Having lost everything—excerpt his royal arrogance, perhaps—Ekon has a lot to learn. Together, they have several challenges to overcome, but their story becomes one of forgiveness, redemption, and second chances. After In Search of a Prince, where Iris and Ekon are both introduced, it was hard to imagine rooting for Ekon. Still, this new story makes that possible, surprisingly enough, and it proved to be absolutely lovely from beginning to end.I loved it, and I bet other readers of contemporary (royal) romance will, too.I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Having enjoyed In Search of a Prince, I was delighted to read this second book. I think the author does a great job of writing characters that you learn to care about! I really liked Iris as she possess a huge heart and has great compassion and empathy. Ekon is arrogant and entitled and yet even he grew on me as Iris’s good nature slowly wore off onto him. I love the way the author incorporates many spiritual themes and truths into the growth of the characters, the development of their relationship, and the formation of the plot. They truly are a central part of the story. I also liked the way the author did not shy away from writing about deep cultural and social issues. It made the plot seem more authentic and realistic. And the setting is something I wish I could visit! I really liked this book and look forward to more from this author.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
