About this audiobook

Rapunzel is having the ultimate bad day. She's been stolen by a witch, may have a ghost for a roommate, and doesn't even have a decent brush for her hair. Prince Benjamin's got it pretty tough, too. His father wants him to be more kingly, his mother wants him to never leave her sight, and his cousin wants to get him into as much trouble as possible (possibly with a troll). Both Rapunzel and Prince Benjamin are trapped--in very different ways. Once their paths cross, well, that's when things get really strange.

Funny, sweet and oh so charming all around. This is a great read for young teens who are still into fairy tales. Wendy Mass did a wonderful job in being able to write from both Rapunzel and the Prince's point of view.

Rapunzel is stuck in a tower and the prince wants an adventure. Through alternating diary entries we see the tale of how Rapunzel got in the tower and how the Prince found her. Fun reinterpretation of some elements of the classic story such as the Prince going blind from losing his glasses, as apposed to being blinded by thorns. Fun, fractured fairy tale.

thought this book would be exactly like the old fairytale Sleeping Beauty-I was completely wrong. Twice Upon a Time #1 Rapunzel, The one with all the hair was really good! No, in fact, amazing! I loved Rapunzel inside this story, she was just so curious and couldn't help sneaking out one night. Rapunzel is so kind, funny, sweet, and talented. She just needs someone to help her wake up from her long sleep from touching the spindle.Loads of these parts were just so funny, and I laughed so hard when I read them.Rapunzel is also veery talented, as she is blessed with the eternal gifts of the fairies. The Prince (who really has no name) is just as curious as Rapunzel. He starts to run away alot after his Squire Jonathon leaves, and eventually finds a duplicate castle, which eventually, he finds Rapunzel in after he realizes that a hundred years have finally passed-when The prince originally found it when he was younger a hundred years hadn't passed yet, which was why the gate did not permit the prince to enter. I really loved this book, and I hope to read some more books from Twice Upon a time. Grade:A

When I found this book I imagined it being a bit like the movie Hoodwinked which I love; That is - an old fairytale but seen from a new funny angle. It is sort of what's going on in this book. The story of Rapunzel being retold from both the prinse and the princess' perspective (seperated in chapters). However, I think the book is more directed at children a bit triviel - children would probably find it pretty cool.

In this version of Rapunzel, Rapunzel's slightly petulent, and the prince is kind of wimpy, but when they meet in classic fairy tale fashion, things work out. We also have a little green man named Stephen who helps Rapunzel out and points out that her mother was probably bewitched to like rampion (after all- why would anyone develop a strange craving such as she did otherwise?) so stealing it was something the witch probably intended to begin with. Things work out, and the prince isn't blinded by thorns but rather by the destruction of his glasses... Bonus points for giving Rapunzel a cat.
