About this audiobook

This charming book from Newbery Medal winner Cynthia Rylant captures the peaceful magic of an evening stroll under the stars. After eating 21 of Mrs. Teaberry's delicious pineapple jelly rolls, Mr. Putter tries to calm his tummy on a nighttime walk with Tabby. As they gaze up at the stars, they are surprised to find they have company. Mrs. Teaberry and her dog Zeke are also out for a walk-and Zeke has a stomachache, too. I love this series and am every so thankful that kids do, too. I really want to be neighbors to Mr. Putter and Mrs. Teaberry.

Mr. Putter and Tabby See the Stars is another adventure in this series that two lovable characters embark on together. A great transitional chapter book, this series is an engaging and enjoyable read for beginning readers. In my 2nd grade internship this semester, the students read this story during shared reading. I love the characters because they are believable. Students can invest time into these characters and become excited to read more about them in this series. The illustrations are modern and very expressive. By using the context clues, students can easily read and comprehend the plot. In this story, Mr. Putter ate too many jelly rolls and cannot fall asleep because of a stomach ache! Students will be able to relate to this enjoyable story about friendship and memories. The big idea of this story is about neighbors and friendship.
