Reviews for Dragon Games

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Umber and his ward Happenstance are off on adventures again in this second book of the series. Happenstance learns more of his history and more of what it is to be a meddler. Umber, a time traveler, can't control his curiousity to see and learn everything about the supernatural creatures of this world, and gets them into a collection of sticky situations.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The second in the 'Books of Umber' series where the adventures of Lord Umber and his ward, Happenstance continue, as they try to find the answers as to Happenstance's identity. There are some incredible creatures in the story, which for their function and purpose are brilliant creations of the imagination and although mentioned early on the story, are tied seamlessly into the plot at every available juncture. Very creatively written and I enjoyed this very much.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really enjoying this series, I seriously love Umber and his ill-timed jokes! I'm just sad that the next book is going to be the last, I wouldn't have minded having several more.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Book 2 in the Books of Umber series is more of the same, but even faster. Happenstance learns more about himself, and about Lord Umber, who is actually from Earth's future. Fuller character development, non-stop adventure, sobering assassinations and several death scenes that could be disturbing to younger readers..
