- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love this book! Ever wondered how ice cream cones were developed? This question came up in my classroom and this book had all the answers! This is definitely on the list of books we need to add to our class library!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The book discusses the question of who created the first ice cream cone, which was a hotly debated topic. Unfortunately, there's not much story to it
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a good book. I liked how it told about all of the people who thought they were first at inventing the ice cream cone. I also like how it told of the actual man who was first with the first patent. What I did not like was that the author did not know the way the first man came up with the idea. She instead just put down what she imagined and why that may be fun if I were reading the story to students I would want them to know the exact way the idea was come up with so that they would not get confused.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The intersting story of how ice cream cones were invented. The book tells how three different people claim they invented the ice cream cone. The end of the story reveals the true story of the man who invented the ice cream cone. The man would sell ice cream at his cart. He had only one bowl and had to wait till the customer was done eating before he could serve anymore ice cream. The man would also go to the bakery and buy cookies and got the idea of molding the cookie to serve the ice cream. This is a fun book for children to learn about ice cream cones and inventions.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This an informational book with accurate facts and a story about how the first ice cream cone was created. Even though there were many who acclaimed to be the first ones to invent the ice cream cone, there was one man who claimed to be the one in 1903. So the author clearly makes sure that the readers use their own speculation before deciding the actual inventors of the ice cream cone.Level: PrimaryStars: Character
