Much better than book one. My main issue with the first book was the excessive wordiness and repetitive and vacillating internal monologue. That's greatly reduced in this book.

I also loved how the main characters' relationship grew and how Selene's power expanded.

Busse does it again! This story did not disappoint, the way she captures the truth of love, forgiveness, and redemption is inspiring. This is story that leaves you feeling changed. Not to mention a romance to fall in love with, a cinnamon roll I never knew I needed, suspense, and magic and competing realms of my! Can't wait to finish the last book in the series.
