The beginning seems like it was targeted on that comedian but it had nothing to do with that they just used as a distraction good plot twist I love it!

Nancy Drew Diaries, well narrated, with just the right youthful tone, by Jorjeana Marie. In this episode of the series, Nancy, with assistance of her cohorts, Ned (her boyfriend), Bess, and George, try to help a comedian, Brady Owens, find his stolen notebook (with his written comic material in it) after the comedian's hotel room was trashed. But Brady Owens in a recent stand up performance crossed a line when he suggested a violent act towards a lady heckler in his audience. Brady is then protested by locals in River Heights before his next appearance at a brand new local arts venue, causing an awkward sit-in there and very soon afterwards things go viral on social media. All this before Brady is due to be interviewed on Ned's podcast. I give this book in the Nancy Drew Diaries series high marks because it handles some very serious and current issues. It touches on free speech 1st amendment rights vs. public safety issues. Presenting both sides skillfully within story's characters' dialogue, it covers how those issues come with responsibilities for artist and performers. The story highlights the power of social media, and uses technology and "social engineering" to contribute to the thread of clues needed to get at the solution. Plus, this mystery tale holds some clever "red herrings" with interesting twists that I didn't see coming--another reason I give it high marks and recommend this one for young readers.
