Art tourism is on the rise - a recent poll of2000 UK adults, commissioned by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), found that 41 per cent of holidaymakers pick destinations based on architecture and 22 per cent based on art, compared to just 16 per cent who opt for great sunbathing spots. And while seeing the in Paris, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and Michelangelo’s David in Florence remain top of the agenda, more and more cruise lines are investing in art to make it part of its guests’ entire journey.
