About this audiobook

Go on a ghostly hunt for a missing boy in this second book in New York Times bestselling author Christopher Pike's Spooksville series!

Cindy is playing by the ocean with her younger brother, Neil, when a ghost appears out of nowhere and grabs the little boy and carries him away. Cindy tries to tell people what happened, but everyone assumes that Neil drowned. Cindy is left heartbroken, with no one to help her find her brother.

Until Sally reads about what happened. Sally believes in ghosts—and she knows there are plenty of them to be found in Spooksville. With Adam and Watch, Sally goes to Cindy and promises to help get her brother back. But what none of them knows is that this ghost is a very nasty one—and she'd rather turn them all into ghosts than return Neil.

Christopher Pike

Christopher Pike is a bestselling young adult novelist and has published several adult books as well—Sati and The Season of Passage being the most popular. In YA, his Last Vampire series—often called Thirst—is a big favorite among his fans. Pike was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Los Angeles. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his longtime partner, Abir. Currently, several of Pike’s books are being turned into films, including The Midnight Club, which Netflix released as part of a ten-part series. The Midnight Club also draws from a half dozen of Pike’s earlier works. Presently, The Season of Passage is being adapted as a feature film by Universal Studios while Chain Letter—one of Pike all-time bestselling books—is also being adapted by Hollywood. At the moment, Pike is hard at work on a new YA series.

Cindy Makey and her five year-old brother are hanging around the jetty near the abandoned lighthouse, when suddenly the waves form into giant hands and snatch the little boy, who disappears. While the police don't believe Cindy's story and assume the boy drowned, this is Spooksville and Sally, Adam and Watch know that the boy may very well have been grabbed by a ghost. A visit to the town library, run by ghoulish Mr. Spivey, who has an obsession with human bones, uncovers the story of another missing five year-old from 30 years before.
