One listener on the Audible platform rated this “1 star” because it was “Catholic”. That would never be a complaint of mine, but the description is wholly accurate. It is addressed to Christian believers and is a devotional style, reviewing the geography of the Holy Land in relation to the biblical narratives. It is not addressed to a scholarly audience, although the lecturer is a scholar (and these are a series of lectures). My chief complaint is that the speaker does not focus at all on the actual holy places of the land, nor on the archaeology. It is therefore a bit light on for the person who already knows the scriptures well, but wants to learn more about the history and locations.
