About this audiobook

The sequel to the acclaimed Gaza in Crisis from world-famous political analyst Noam Chomsky and Middle East historian Ilan Pappe.

Operation Protective Edge, Israel's 2014 assault on Gaza, left thousands of Palestinians dead and cleared the way for another Israeli land grab. The need to stand in solidarity with Palestinians has never been greater. Ilan Pappe and Noam Chomsky, two leading voices in the struggle to liberate Palestine, discuss the road ahead for Palestinians and how the international community can pressure Israel to end its human rights abuses against the people of Palestine.

Thank you for converting this into an audio book @HaymarketBooks. NC & IP are brilliant and empathetic individuals who seem to care deeply for the people of Palestine. This book is almost a conversation on the history of Palestine and Israel and why there isn’t peace. These authors understand so much and so deeply, but they’ve made the book accessible to people who don’t have all of that knowledge and philosophical insights.

Crucial history, especially for American and European audiences. Zionism from inception until 2020 is accurately framed within the context of settler colonialism. As Israel moves from ethnic cleansing to overt genocide of Palestinian civilian populations in the end of 2023 - following the horrifying attack by Hamas of Israeli civilians - it is more critical than ever that the world, and especially the U.S. halt all support of Israel until it ends the relentless violence, abides by international law, and allows for true self-determination and dignity of all Palestinians. End the largest open air prison in history. This American Jew says Not In My Name.
