About this audiobook
FUN & GAMES AND HELL & GONE COME FULL CIRCLE IN THE HARDIE SERIES' ASTONISHING CONCLUSION.
Charlie Hardie finds himself in a steel box, tubes and wires attached to his body, trapped inside a satellite parked in orbit 500 miles above the Earth. He's got a year's supply of food, air, water, and no communication back to Earth, and must complete his 12 months' duty or his wife and son will have an "accident."
But when someone all-too-familiar docks on the satellite, informs Hardie he's sitting in a veritable zero-G vault containing the world's most dangerous secrets, and forces a crash-landing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Hardie must decide whether he's come face-to-face with the partner he needs to save his family--or with his nemesis. After years of exile, Hardie's arming up....and heading home.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Third book in the Charlie Hardie trilogy and as great as the first two books. Duane Swierczynski is one of the best writers around today and I highly recommend this book and any of his other books.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Quick warning for anyone checking these on a bookshelf: DO NOT read the backs of books two and three. They iteratively spoil the living hell out of the series. The publisher should have shot and buried the person who approved them. (Mulhollandbooks - I work cheap!)
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The last book in the trilogy starts with Hardie in space (because how else do you top a mysterious underground prison?) I had mixed feelings about this book. The more this trilogy continued, the more I grew frustrated by Hardie’s passivity and his constant idiotic decisions. I wanted him to take charge and finally do something right for a change, but this book sidelines him for a long time (most of the last third, in fact) and has someone else save the day in his place. This was a disappointing end to the trilogy. Fun & Games is by far the best of the three and I didn’t miss a lot by not reading the rest until now.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent finish to an excellent series!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The ending (I hope) to the Charlie Hardie series is as brilliant as the first two installments. It's nonstop action and extreme violence from beginning to end written by an author who is really just too good to be real. He's so good you want to hate him--but you can't. If the first two books were full of twists, then this one makes them look simple. As the tale winds its way from outer space to Hollywood, Pennsylvania, you just never know what's going to happen next. There's plenty of pain along the way, but also enough true human emotion to keep it real--even in the (again, I hope) alternate universe Swiercynski has created. Most of all, reading Swiercynski is the kind of exhilarating fun that is so rare when reading. Of current authors I read, only Anthony Neil Smith is in the same league. My only advice for the author is, please let Charlie have some rest now. He REALLY needs it. I promise to read your next book even if he's not in it.
