“Long walks, poetry and the space to live inside my head are the things that I draw on to nourish that process.”

I grew up on a cattle and sheep property just outside Canberra. My parents were interested in art, mainly paintings, and visited the local galleries often. I remember that my younger sister and I would be sat on the floor, usually in the chilly stock room, and told not to touch anything, while Mum and Dad viewed the latest exhibition. I now have several of those paintings from my parents’ collection. They hang in my bedroom and bring back strong memories
