Winter Wildcards

Just because we’re tuckle-wuckled up in winter mode, itching to get home from work to flirt with our electric blankets and reacquaint with our crockpots, there’s no reason to abandon our ache for the exotic, right? And just because we’re happy to let our leg hair grow, our tans fade and our skin to get scaly – that’s no reason not to treat our tastebuds to something sexy every now and then to keep them excited and inspired either.

Not saying classic wines aren’t great. I mean, I’m as partial to a moreish merlot, a squinty sauvignon blanc, a plucky old pinot gris or a roasty, toasty, tropic-tastic chardonnay as the next person.
