AT HOME WITH… PIP AND LEN

Just 50 minutes out of central Auckland the suburb of Beachlands feels like a million miles away and a delightful step back in time. First established in the 1920s, then made popular in the ‘50s as a sea-side getaway, Beachlands is now a bustling community and home to TV producer Pip and stone mason husband Len, along with bouncy wee Corkie, the Yorkshire terrier. I dropped by in late autumn to experience, not for the first time, the way they love to cook and entertain.
