Happiness hacks

Happiness can be learned – but it requires regular practise – a scientific study has found.

Students who were shown a set of tricks and tips for happiness on a ten-week course at the University of Bristol were found to have immediate improvements in their mental wellbeing. The half that continued using at least some of the techniques also reported being happier two years later.

The hacks had been tested in studies previously, and included purposely being kind to others, and expressing gratitude to those who do similar.
