LAGGING BEHIND

As you might be aware, the arrival fast track lane at London Heathrow was closed at the beginning of the pandemic. This meant that business and first class passengers, along with those with passports not included in the e-gate scheme, had to queue with all other passengers at passport control – sometimes for more than two hours.

Heathrow has reopened the fast track lane recently and most airlines have joined the scheme, which costs them approximately £10 per passenger. Unfortunately, British Airways has chosen not to offer this facility to their business and first class passengers, which is really disappointing and shows lack of interest or appreciation to their clients.

The fast track lane is a trial running at London Heathrow Terminal 3, and British Airways is one of the airlines taking part in it. It is available to eligible passengers, including those travelling in First and Gold
