It’s a sentiment that’s been very much on my mind as I recently celebrated my best friend’s half-century. Nikki and I met at the age of 17 on our first day at Teacher’s Training College, and immediately struck a bond. We’ve been at each other’s side through thick and thin – parenting nine children between us, marriages, moving cities, changing jobs and more.
