The 2024 Swarovski Gong Challenge at Platrand Lodge

The event started with registration on PractiScore. All the spots for this premier gong shoot were snatched up in days. On the morning of the shoot, the buzz was already evident on the sight-in range, which was alive with the chatter of friends and acquaintances. The morning coffee and rusk after registration was a welcome treat. After the briefing, the shooters moved down to their respective ranges and the shooting commenced.

The shooters shot as individuals. Each range consisted of a prescribed position from which one shot was fired at each of the five gongs. The gongs were 4 200 mm in diameter withon a sliding scale for a simpler count out for final positions. The small gong also carried a bonus score. The ranges were as follows:
