The former star NFL player was acquitted of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in a controversial criminal trial but was found liable for both wrongful deaths in a subsequent civil case. On April 10, Simpson died, following an announcement the prior year of a cancer diagnosis.
