The original ESO

A great story by Peter Whittaker on Greg Kentwell in , but I wish to correct the statement that Ove Fundin bought the ESOit including his first Australian Championship until he lost his left eye in 1962, and Jim Airey then became the owner, leaving it behind when he went to the UK in 1964/5. Greg told me he bought the bike from Jim’s Dad, and rode it until sponsored on a newer machine before he too joined the rider exodus to the UK. I believe this original machine still exists and is in Sydney today, what a piece of history.
