We only review finished games, so in Viewpoint we go hands-on with near-final code of a game that just missed our review deadline. After the first eight hours with Team Ninja’s latest, Luke Kemp has sword of got the hang of it.

As we fight a boar the size of a minivan, magical healing pills in one pocket and instantly deployable hang glider in the other, we suspect liberties with the ol’ historical accuracy. Mind you, that’s the whole point really – and everything we’ve seen so far indicates that this was very much the right decision.
