ASK THE EXPERTS

PLEASE HELP A NEWBIE THROUGH THE PURCHASING MINEFIELD!

Q I’m about to retire and wish to buy a used motorhome. Could you please suggest helpful sources of information for a ‘greenhorn’ and outline potential areas where it is easy to go wrong? Thanks for your help!

A Gentleman Jack replies…

This is a very wide subject and it is easy to suffer from information overload. One approach is to start by visiting your local motorcaravan dealers and view their stock.

Then research online ‘Advice for motorcaravan first time buyers’.

Good, reliable advice is available free of charge on the websites run by Practical Motorhome, the Caravan and Motorhome Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club, among others.
