In keeping with his former WWE web column, "Shut Up And Wrestle," BRIAN SOLOMON laments Monday Night Raw’s promo-heavy format.

MORE THAN 20 YEARS AGO, I wrote a column for WWE.com that gained me about 14.5 minutes of internet fame, back in the pre-social media days of message boards and Angelfire websites. It was called “Shut Up And Wrestle”—a title I’ve proudly carried as a badge of honor ever since, even using it as the name of my current podcast.

I was told to get real; to get honest. And so, what I came up with was something that and every week—not just because it was my job, but because I wanted to. I used my platform to criticize , in particular, for being too damn talky—and for shifting too much of the focus away from the actual in-ring action. Here’s a sample:
