MF 6100 & 8100 SERIES PART 4

In 1995, AGCO – the new owners of Massey Ferguson – launched the new MF 6100 and 8100 Series of tractors to replace the ground-breaking 3000, 3100 and 3600 ranges which, themselves, had changed the very nature of tractor design back in 1986.

Those ranges had evolved to become truly successful products for the company, moving it ahead of the competition in many respects. Then, some 10 years later, it was time to reinvigorate the concept and the launch of the new 6100 and 8100 Series certainly did that, with many new features and improvements.

But, soon after the launch, Massey Ferguson realised that there were gaps towards the top end of both ranges, and so added a few additional models to plug those holes. These new machines built on the undoubted
