From the notebook of a sportswriter who – in spite of the loss by the Eagles in the Super Bowl – is excited to see if the Steelers can draft like them for a spell:
• For a spell? Is this the 1950s? Sorry, but I get freaked out trying to discern between “a while” and “awhile.”
• So, I went with “for a spell.”
• It was a spell of time during which Andy Weidl helped build the Eagles. But for the past year he’s been the Steelers’ assistant to the general manager.
