A The UK GHIC lets you get necessary state healthcare in EU countries, and some other countries, on the same basis as a resident – so if they get free treatment, so do you. The UK GHIC has replaced the existing European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), but you can use an existing EHIC until the expiry date on the card. Visit www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk.
