For most, the Nitro-Express double rifle is synonymous with the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro and elephant bulls with large tusks. It is (and will probably remain) the most romantic of all firearms and will forever be linked with the finest that Africa has to offer. As well, many aspire to be the owner of a fine double rifle one day and, finances and luck permitting, to be able to use the rifle in question in close-range combat on some of Africa’s dangerous game. Alas, very few of us will ever get such an opportunity, but there is still nothing wrong with daydreaming!
