Political parties continued to criticise outgoing Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan and said state-owned enterprises (SOEs) under him were much worse than they had been when he was appointed to the portfolio.
Inside sources said Gordhan is very ill and this may be the reason he is hanging up his gloves. Gordhan confirmed he would retire from active politics after the May 29 elections to focus on his family and health.
