Gentleman racer

Born in Viborg, Denmark, Rob developed an early love of all things mechanical and especially motorcycles. As a wide-eyed youngster, living near a registration inspection station, he lusted after the queues of NSUs, Adlers, and BMWs, and occasionally the odd gleaming British single and twin. Rob dreamed of one day not only racing bikes, but becoming a champion.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of funds whilst working as an apprentice plumber, along with two serious motorcycle accidents on road bikes, (a total of 146 days in hospital) Rob only commenced racing aged 23. The accidents were the catalyst for Rob to consider that perhaps racing might be safer than riding on the roads.
