Crushed sunflower seeds provide protein, fibre and calories

Q I have noticed that some horse feeds contain sunflower I seeds. I didn't even realise before I spotted that that horses can eat sunflower seeds and I can't even imagine what their nutritional benefits are. Can you explain?
