NUTRITION CHARTS ON WINE LABELS

Wine labels now look different in the EU. Since December 8th, a nutritional value table, similar to those on yoghurt pots and tinned soups, needs to be included in back labels on all wine bottles. With Regulation 2021/2117, the EU wants to provide consumers with more information to help them make informed purchasing decisions. In practice, however, the decision might miss the intended purpose.
