Footy fans have more to love about their favourite codes in 2024, with both the NRL and AFL adding additional Opening Rounds to their seasons, taking place in exciting new locations, no less.
For the NRL, that means two games being played back-to-back in Las Vegas on March 2, US time (March 3 in Australia), between the Manly Sea Eagles and South Sydney Rabbitohs, followed by the Sydney Roosters and Brisbane Broncos.
In the AFL, the action will take place across Sydney and Queensland, with four games slated from March 7 to 9, between Sydney and Melbourne (at the SCG), Brisbane and Carlton (the Gabba), Gold Coast and Richmond (Heritage Bank Stadium), and Greater Western Sydney and Collingwood (Giants Stadium).
