Our appreciation of our gardens is a sensory experience. It’s as much about the feel of the soil, the smell of the plants and the sound of the insects as it is about how things look.

Increasingly, we gardeners are becoming aware that in order to have a living, breathing, buzzing, ecosystem we need to carefully nurture a wideand that by adding some simple features we can play an active role in replacing some of that lost habitat and creating havens for animals to nest, rest, feast and find sanctuary within.
