Things you can do to stop unsolicited marketing calls.
Firstly, register with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), this lets you opt out of receiving unsolicited marketing calls to your landline or mobile. It's free to register; you can or by calling 0345 070 0707. Marketing companies use this register to identify people who have said that they do not want to receive marketing calls. But it won't stop all calls, for example firms may still call you if you've previously given them permission to. To stop these calls, contact the firm and ask them not to call you for marketing purposes.
