    ATTENTION!

If you have had your taxes prepared at any one of the nation’s tax preparation chains, there is a good chance that you have paid more than you should have.

This eBook isn’t about getting you to allow me or anyone that works with me to do your taxes, as a matter of fact, I don’t even prepare taxes anymore professionally. But then there are the others.

The others are those who in October have absolutely no idea what a 1099 or a W-2 is and by January are quasi-experts on taxation. After all, the owners of these tax prep offices need butts in seats to pound out as many returns as possible. The 4 to 8 hour courses these people take are supposed to teach them all they need to know about taxes.

We’ll discuss more of that later. Second, 90% of the customers of these tax prep chains simply don’t NEED to use them. Their returns
