Does Microsoft have a legal duty to let me upgrade PCs?

Q I bought four Windows 11 Pro computers in 2023. Two of these were refurbished, and they won’t upgrade from build 21H2 to 22H2. Shouldn’t Microsoft be forced legally to let me upgrade?

No, Microsoft doesn’t have to guarantee that PCs can be upgraded to more recent builds of Windows. This is because, legally, it’s allowed to decide when Windows reaches end of life, whether it’s numbered editions (7, 8.1, 10, 11 etc) or incremental builds like 21H2.
