WRESTLING MOURNS BRAY WYATT, JAY BRISCOE, AND OTHER ICONS

TWO MAJOR STARS in the prime of their lives died this year, stunning the wrestling community. The first was Jay Briscoe, age 38, who was killed January 17 in a head-on collision in his hometown of Laurel, Delaware. His two daughters, Gracie and Jayleigh Pugh, survived despite serious injuries.

Jay & Mark Briscoe were ROH World tag team title reign, and, coming off a brutal double-dog-collar match against FTR, were experiencing a career resurgence. The loss was mourned by active and former wrestlers across many promotions, as even WWE CCO Paul Levesque posted his condolences upon Briscoe’s passing.
