It’s season 25 of Silent Witness, and Dr Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) is in the Lyell Centre, performing a postmortem.
Watching from the gallery is the usual clueless detective, plus hunky forensics expert, Jack Hodgson (David Caves). Whenever he sees a fresh kill, which is more or less every day, Jack licks his lips like a vampire and gives his biceps a little clench. Today they are clenched hard enough to burst the seams of his denim shirt.
