Parents feel the pinch

UNIFORMS and stationery

DESPITE the tough economic times and many families struggling to make ends meet, parents say they have to sacrifice and fork out thousands of rand on uniforms, stationery and fees, ahead of the reopening of schools on January 17.

Last week, the POST visited Gem Schoolwear in Juniper Road, Overport, which stocks locally-made uniforms for more than 200 primary and high schools.
