Fake parking apps on Google

What’s the threat?

Scammers are placing fake adverts for popular parking apps in Google search. Research from consumer campaigners Which? shows that adverts for JustPark, PayByPhone and RingGo all appear above links for the genuine apps.

In an example given by Which?, searching for ‘paybyphone app’ produced two in our screenshot) and homeautomationinnovators , both ending in ‘.com’.
