Top five soil friendly crops

The health of our soil is key to a flourishing, resilient garden. As a resourceful gardener, I am always looking for easy and thrifty ways to boost productivity on my plot, as well as mulching with compost. Here are five of my favourite soil-friendly crops, which also help enhance and protect the soil whatever-the-weather in 2024.

1. Comfrey

One of the easiest and most beneficial soil-friendly plants you can grow is comfrey.
