How did Adam name all the animals in one day?

“Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name ”
-Genesis 2:19

Genesis 1:18-23 tells how, on the sixth day of creation, Adam named the animals before Eve was even created. How was it possible for him to name all the animals in one day? And would it not have been easier if God named the animals Himself?
