UNIC introduces Senate to demands and beauty of Italian leather
UNIC – Concerie Italiane attended the Parliamentary Intergroup for Fashion meeting in Rome on November 22.
Fulvia Bacchi, general manager of UNIC, brought up both the problems and the allure of the Italian leather industry to the Senate. The beauty industry was also highlighted when Carmelo Carbotti of Banca Ifis presented the findings of the 2023 edition of the Economy of Beauty report.
Bacchi told about Italian leather, describing it as “absolute excellence from an industrial, qualitative and creative point of view. But it is experiencing a complex market phase, to which are added the risks induced by some regulations being approved in Brussels and those related to the need to meet a significant training need.”
