Weather and global stocks dictate commodity prices

The Food Price Index of the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) remained unchanged in November, marking its lowest level since the beginning of the year. The FAO Cereal Price Index decreased by 3% from October and by 19,4% year-on-year (y/y) on the back of lower grain prices. Maize, wheat, and soya bean prices were notably lower compared with a year ago.
